Consultation and publication

Before the draft Strategy went to public consultation, it first had to be shared with the Supporting Authorities (the county’s local authorities and Natural England) and our neighbouring Responsible Authorities (East Sussex, Surrey, London and Essex).  Following a four week period, where any issues were addressed, the draft Strategy then went out to public consultation on the 16th January 2025 for 8 weeks (closing on 12th March 2025).  A consultation response will be published by the project following the consultation.

Once the Strategy is finalised, we again share it with Supporting Authorities and our neighbouring Responsible Authorities.  Following a four week period, and the addressing of any issues, we can then inform the Secretary of State of our intent to publish.
